Job Description

 

**Please note this is a 12-month contract hybrid role**

The Operations Specialist will develop and support the Honda, Acura, Powersports & Power Equipment accessory business by achieving accessory sales targets through creating and supporting marketing programs & campaigns, online content, print material and other sales tools.  They will also work to maintain and update accessory information via accessory application charts, installation instructions and accessory image assets. They will also be working closely with Parts/Inventory in regard to accessory order/procurement and accessory pricing structure.

They will also work with parts & service budget book-keeping – including maintaining records of financial transactions and tracking against budget, processing vendor invoices. They will also work with processing direct ship sales transactions and adjustments and reporting on parts, accessories, & service metrics.
 

Responsibilities:

  •  Working on Auto & Powersports Accessory Advertising Materials, including Brochures, reviewing, and approving accessory image assets, and providing creative direction for brochures and online content.
  • Working on Auto & Powersports Accessory Programs, including new model launches, special programs.
  • Co-ordinate the entire rollout of accessory programs from updating and maintaining order information to co-ordinate with Parts, Logistics department and warehouses with deliveries.
  • Maintain & update information on the Accessory Application Chart for dealer use.
  • Provide accessory pricing analysis, including new models, special programs, and monthly Red Ink; Analyze current pricing and competition for pricing proposals; Provide monthly accessory gaps and misses analysis.
  • Provide Accessory Forecasting, including new models or special programs; analyze historical and forecast upcoming and new accessories so we have adequate stock come launch time.
  • Advise and provide information that dealers or zone staff may have regarding accessory information or programs.
  • Maintain & update information on the Oils/Chemicals Application Chart for dealer use.
  • Provide book-keeping: processing payments/credits for vendors & dealers; tracking transactions.
  • Monthly and yearly reconciling of Parts & Service budget expenditures with stakeholders (Financial Control, Parts Ops & Service Ops).
  • Provide Direct ship (Dropship) parts sales transaction processing, including processing of daily EDI files from vendors, calculate and apply adjustments to dealer/vendor accounts, and providing monthly reconciliation of accounts.
  • Prepare scheduled parts, accessory, service reports, ad hoc reports as needed, and revise macro files to improve department efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • College Diploma in related field.
  • 3 years experience in Automotive, Marketing/Advertising, or Accounting/Finance.
  • Bilingual in French/English is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary; VBA programming/macros an asset, along with intermediate understanding of MS Word and Power Point.
  • Accounting software an asset – SAP, Ariba, etc.
  • Photoshop / Design experience at an intermediate level.
  • Working with data cubes for data extract an asset (BI Reports, Cognos, MS Access).
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all members of the team.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal departments and affiliated subsidiaries.
  • Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results.
