Job Description

LOCATION : MARKHAM 

 

POSITION TITLE:               Bilingual Recovery Representative

 

REPORTS TO:                     Supervisor, Collections & Recovery

 

SCOPE OF POSITION:

 

The incumbent will work within Honda Canada’s Collections and Recovery Centre and will work alongside the Recovery team, reporting to the Supervisor, Collections & Recovery. The Recovery Representative will act in the capacity to deal directly with customers working to minimize negative feedback and impact to customer retention and satisfaction. This a 12-month contract opportunity with possibility of renewal.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Maintain corporate objectives pertaining to the Recovery Centre within the areas of Bankruptcy, Insurance Tracking on Lease accounts, Total Loss, and Recovery based activities.
  • Ensure all documentation is updated and that all communication with customers is tracked appropriately.
  • Resolve customer needs and issues and provide effective resolutions or escalate to the Supervisor if appropriate.
  • Organize and prioritize workload to ensure appropriate customer correspondence and communicated level of urgency and action is noted as required.
  • Ensure that service standards and that your individual goals as set by the Supervisor are being achieved on a daily basis.
  • Embrace new initiatives or direction given by management for work process improvement.
  • Comply with all work processes in the department as determined by the Supervisor.
  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) as it pertains to HCFI internal controls within respective day to day job function. Adherence of the following would include but not be limited to:
  • Code of Business Ethics/Conduct
  • Business and Operational Policies and Procedures
  • IT general and application controls

POSITION PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services, and or 1-3 years of relevant, progressive business experience with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Completed post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of laws in regards to collection and repossession is an asset.
  • Must be Bilingual in French and English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated above average interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), problem solving, and listening skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment.
  • A high level of individual initiative and ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven communication, negotiation, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, results oriented, well organized, and a team player.
