The Market Planner - Acura is a sales lead responsible for providing data support, analysis, activities, and proposals pertaining to allocated carlines. Provide insights into competing segments, industry updates and identify potential risk and opportunities to achieving the Acura sales plan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of the Automotive sales and competitor landscape, analyze multiple sources of data and interpret findings.
- Prepare sales incentive program recommendations to achieve sales and market share objectives.
- Prepare monthly model gap analysis to identify opportunities and develop countermeasure proposals.
- Prepare for monthly program meetings by comparing and analyzing sales and inventory sell down pace, using market demand information, historical trends and forecasting tactics for assigned models.
- Collaborate with Sales and Production Planning for product ordering and allocation to dealer network.
- Manage and maintain monthly allocated competitor payment and in-market offers reports.
- Develop new model sales plans for assigned models with key stakeholders including the development of price increase sales risk analysis and product launch guides.
- Propose, plan and activate CRM sales offer campaigns with follow up gap analysis to document learnings and apply countermeasures.
- Manage and maintain allocated departmental sales reports.
- Process Dealer Exception Request/Dealer payments via Manual AJs as required.
- Other departmental duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree required.
- 1-2 years of automotive experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to working in a fast-paced team environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships; strong results-orientation.
- Advanced level Excel knowledge is required (vlookups, pivot tables etc)
- Advanced PC Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Develops and maintains good working relationships and all members of the team.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers, partners, consultants, stakeholders and other network contacts.
